Dive the Galapagos Islands aboard the 110-foot Majestic Explorer. You’ll leave after Christmas and return in early January. The Galapagos Islands are world renowned for exceptional biodiversity. The Majestic Explorer takes up to 16 divers to the best dive sites. Discover Galapagos sharks, hammerheads, turtles, schools of tuna, manta rays, whale sharks, white tip sharks and much, much more.

The destination
As you see in the accompanying video, most diving takes place from large, inflatable tenders. As most dives are drift dives, this helps ensure that a tender will be close by when you surface. Despite their location near the equator, the Galapagos are cooled by the Humboldt Current. This is why you see divers wearing full-length, 7 mm suits and hoods. The cooler water, however, is part of what leads to the incredible assortment of aquatic life, which can vary greatly from one Galapagos island to the next.
The boat
The Majestic Explorer offers eight air-conditioned double cabins with ocean view and private bathrooms, showers and TV/DVD. The seven-member crew ensures comfort and satisfaction for up to sixteen guests. Relax in the air-conditioned salon, the covered back deck, sun deck and Jacuzzi. The Majestic Explorer features a large staging area, tanks, weights, rental equipment, Nitrox, spacious camera table and rinse tank. To learn even more, visit the Majestic Explorer website.
