The diving
Wakatobi was created to deliver the ultimate dive experience and was established following an extensive search to identify the perfect location for a dive resort in terms of geography, climate, oceanic topography and marine biodiversity. Wakatobi is located at the world’s epicenter of coral reef biodiversity. New and undocumented species continue to be discovered at Wakatobi. Wakatobi is CCR friendly. The highly qualified and professional dive staff is second to none with each dive guide having 3,000+ dives.
The resort
You will enjoy the tranquility and secluded location of Wakatobi; no traffic noise, no pollution, no other dedicated dive resort for hundreds of miles. You will discover that, despite its remote location, Wakatobi offers a very civilized existence. Each hand-crafted villa and bungalow is spacious, quiet, comfortable and just a few steps from the ocean. All are air-conditioned with wi-fi satellite internet access, along with comprehensive amenities. All your meals and snacks (chef-prepared in the beachside restaurant) are included throughout your stay.
The dates
Our travel schedule is as follows:
- You must arrive in Bali no later than Saturday, October 8, 2027.
- You fly to Wakatobi on Friday, October 8. Air fare from Bali to Wakatobi is included in the trip price.
- You leave Wakatobi on Monday, October 18.
You have the option to arrive early to stay later on Bali.
The details
- Initial $500 deposit is non-refundable.
- Cancellation between January 1 2027 and April 1. 2027 incurs a penalty of 30%.
- Cancellation between January April 2 2027- July 2 2027 incurs a 50% penalty
- Cancel after July 2, 2027 and you forfeit of all monies paid.

If you sign up for this trip, you will have the option to join us in Bali a few days earlier than the October 8 flight to Wakatobi. When we did this in 2018, we had the opportunity to:
- Explore the Mason Elephant Park and Lodge.
- Visit the Mason Gourmet Chocolate Factory.
- Explore several Hindu temples and Pagodas.
- Experience the rice paddies of Tega Lalang.
This time, we want to do even more, such as take an ATV quad bike ride through the jungle.
