Try Scuba
Okay, let’s say the idea of scuba diving intrigues you — but you’re not certain you want to commit to an entire certification course. No problem.
Harry’s Dive Shop has the perfect opportunity for you. It’s called Try Scuba.
If you have a swimsuit, a towel and a few hours free, you can find yourself:
- Swimming weightless under water, in the safe, shallow confines of our heated swimming pool.
- Playing Frisbee under water.
- Taking underwater photos of your friends and family members.
- Getting an introduction to some of the fundamental skills of scuba diving under the guidance and supervision of one of our experienced instructors.
Try Scuba is a great way to find out whether or not scuba is for you. Other than the $20 fee, there is no other cost and no further obligation. See for yourself.

Who Can Learn? You need to be at least eight years of age and able to either answer No to all of the questions on the RSTC Medical History form, or secure a physician’s approval prior to taking part.

What is Involved? It’s really very simple. You spend a few minutes discussing some fundamental concepts with your instructor (easy enough for a eight year old to understand), then hop in our heated, indoor pool, where the instructor will show you a few, easy-to-master skills. Then you are free to play, under instructor supervision, for the balance of the session.

Where Do You Learn? All activities take place right here at Harry’s Dive Shop (get directions). We are among the few dive centers in the country with our own indoor, heated swimming pool. This 16-foot-deep pool was designed specifically for diver training. It provides unbeatable convenience and enjoyment.
