Try Scuba
Try Scuba is part of our day-long Social Saturdays we hold at the end of every month. It provides nondivers with the opportunity to jump in the water and experience what it is like to swim, weightless, while breathing from scuba (under close instructor supervision, of course).
If you would like the opportunity to truly experience what it is like to learn to scuba dive, you should also check out The Scuba Experience. This is a longer, more immersive opportunity we conduct “on demand” for groups of no more than six.

Who Can Learn? You need to be at least seven years of age and able to either answer No to all of the questions on the RSTC Medical History form, or secure a physician’s approval prior to taking part.

What is Involved? It’s really very simple. You spend a few minutes discussing some fundamental concepts with your instructor (easy enough for a eight year old to understand), then hop in our heated, indoor pool, where the instructor will show you a few, easy-to-master skills. Then you are free to play, under instructor supervision, for the balance of the session.

Where Do You Learn? All activities take place right here at Harry’s Dive Shop (get directions). We are among the few dive centers in the country with our own indoor, heated swimming pool. This 16-foot-deep pool was designed specifically for diver training. It provides unbeatable convenience and enjoyment.

When Can You Try It? Our regular Try Scuba experiences take place the last Saturday each month, starting at 11:00 am. Upcoming dates include:
