Craig Sanders

Staff Instructor

Craig Sanders became a diver in 1992 because he and his wife wanted to go scuba diving on their honeymoon. When he was 10 years old, he never wanted to go up but he did want to be an entrepreneur and own a business. Craig’s favorite movie is Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and of course, the 24 hour version of A Christmas Story around the holidays. Craig’s music preferred music is the 80s on XM 8. His personal claim to fame is that he soloed in an airplane on his 16th birthday, earned his private pilot’s license on his 17th birthday and his commercial pilot’s license and flight instructor’s certificate on his 18th birthday.

Craig’s favorite marine creature is the clever, crafty and magnificent octopus. His most memorable dive experience was to the Devil’s Throat in Cozumel on July 4, 2013. Additional hobbies include flying, traveling, and spending time with family. Craig loves to watch people learn and so, his favorite class to teach is Stress and Rescue. He feels this is the educational experience where the diver’s confidence and appreciation grows exponentially.
